why i think visually

I noticed something weird when i'm debugging code or working through a math problem; i tend to see the structure before I can explain it. Like there's a shape to the logic that I process before the words arrive.

I think filming did this to me.

When you frame a shot you're compressing information. You have 16:9 and you have to decide what matters. What's in frame is a claim. What's out of frame is an argument.

The same thing happens in a trading system. You have 50 indicators that could matter. You pick 3. The ones you leave out are just as important as the ones you keep.

I don't know if this is useful or just a story I tell myself. But it feels true.

Some things I've noticed that work the same way in film and in systems thinking:

• Constraints force clarity. A 90-second brand film is better than a 5-minute one, not worse.
• The obvious cut is usually wrong. In editing you learn to sit with discomfort longer than feels natural before you decide.
• Rhythm matters more than content. A boring message delivered with good timing lands. A good message with bad timing doesn't.

I don't know what to do with this yet. Just writing it down.
